About Me

Born in Tokyo, Japan. Raised in Seattle, WA.

My family moved to Seattle when I was 3 years old and lived here most of my life. Having an Aunt who worked in the airline industry allowed me to visit Japan very frequently growing up. I was always had the fortune of having different perspectives growing up between my home vs work/school, it has absolutely shaped the way I view and approach all aspects of life (especially design).

Work History

I’m currently a UX designer but I have 10+years of experience in the restaurant industry, most recently as an event coordinator / manager at DinTaiFung. A few highlights of my role in the industry include:

  • Coordinating across multiple branches for events outside of the restaurant gave me a wealth of planning skills.

  • Opening both a new restaurant in Tigard, Oregon and the largest concessions stand in Seattle's latest stadium Climate Pledge Arena gave me volumes of experience in grand openings and necessities that come with it.

  • Overseeing day to day operations and being present on the floor as a manager demanded professionalism and people skills both employee and customer alike.

Personal

I recently competed a UX design bootcamp from General Assembly to work towards qualifications to change my career. Designing with the user as the core focus is something I can excel in due to my customer service background and experiences.

When I’m not working, I spend a lot of time trying new foods and cooking as well, I would say I’m a very undocumented foody! I also love sports and attending events in Seattle, always come out to represent the NorthWest! And like most people nowadays I do spend time playing video games to relax and nerd out with my friends and family. When the weather permits, I love to go camping! It’s essential for me to always take time to disconnect and enjoy mother nature and the great outdoors!
